The museum is home to a working sawmill, gristmill and the John Hanford Farmstead. Visitors can tour historical exhibits, take a hike on the scenic trail or enjoy a picnic by the millpond.

Special events are hosted all year long including an old-fashioned Fourth of July, a Sawyer's Holiday, an Ice Harvest and an annual Crafts Festival.

The mill has a wonderful museum gift shop and snack bar.
